Summer has arrived

It was fun today to open up the window doors and invite the warm summer breeze into the house. The Prinsengracht is full of people and as usual tourists in he canal boats like to waive and to be waived back at.

Niek and Noor in Le Garage

We had dinner with Niek and Noor in Le Garage. We had a great time: the food was very good, the atmosphere nice (I saw some people I knew a long time ago when I came in Le garage almost twice a day) and the company perfect. Something to remember.

Noah's Arc

Finally got time to see season one of Noah's Arc. A gay black sex in the city. The script is fun, the acting is so so but the guys are hot :-) Here's Wade for instance...

Meanwhile at Easter Island

Ovomat: just in time...

We need to eat more eggs. So to help us doing that I bought the Ovomat egg cooker from Krups. It is absolutely brilliant. The eggs are exactly as you what them to be in no time.

The army isn't that bad it seems

The Wilde process

I just started reading in the new novel of Floortje Zwigtman: Tegenspel. It's a follow up of Schijnbewegeningen (Tricks of the Trade). The story is about Adrian Mayfield a young gay guy in Victorian England and a member of the Oscar Wilde gang.

AutoRai

Saw a nice car on the Car Exhibition today. Didn't buy it (yet!) :-)

Zandvoort

I went to Zandvoort with Marijn to walk along the shore (and have apple pie and hot chocolate)

The day when I ran out of petrol..uh... power,

I had to make an emergency battery charge with my scooter because the battery was flat.
Luckily I always have my spare charger and cable with me...

Das Leben der Anderen

Today I saw "The Lives of Others) a movie about East Germany and the practices of the STASI. Very good story, even better acting.

Ferry

Because of my scooter I travel much faster through hectic Amsterdam traffic and visit places I have never been before, like the bicycle ferry from Amsterdam Central Station to Amsterdam. Noord. I got stuck in a ferry race between the two ferries crossing the harbour. Our ferry lost...

Buy a car online

In my quest for a new car I came across a new phenomenon: buying a new car online. For the Prius that can give you a discount of more then 10%...

David Short

In The Times we saw a picture of the boxer Ross Burkinshaw by David Short. I am curious to find out if we can buy a print of this photo...

Some Men

At the Second Stage theater (designed by Rem Koolhaas) we saw "Some Men" from the famous playwright Terrence McNally. It was a brilliant play about gay relationships through the last decades. The acting was superb and the dialogues very funny and sharp.

Metropolitan Museum

Interesting exhibition about the discovery of the tomb of Toetanchamon by Carter. We had to see the statue of Bourdelle. In the Neue Galerie we saw the famous Klimt bought by Lauder.

Finally my Burberry "Daktari Jacket"

I have been looking all over the world for this jacket and finally here I found (and bought) it!
