Social media burnout?

An interesting research of Pew "Coming and Going on Facebook" indicates that more an more people are taking a FB vacation and are having a social media burnout, especially teens. The report found that 42 percent of Facebook users from the ages of 18 to 29 said that the average time they spent on the site in a typical day had decreased in the last year. That's not so good news for FB. I wrote about my worries about FB and other social media before - I think ii is time for something new. Quality above a stream of senseless data.

The case of the disappearing Lumia 920

Again the delivery of my new Nokia Lumia 920 is postponed... I cannot remember that I had to wait so long for any device. September 5 2012 it was introduced - three times a delivery date was announced by Coolblue (the webshop were I bought this phone). Now after 5 months the only thing Customer Service can say is: "somewhere the coming weeks..."
But because there is no real alternative I guess I have to wait patiently...

56 up - and counting...


I just saw the latest episode in the UP-series: 56 UP. It still is mesmerizing to watch and see people grow up and yes it is true: we only can change slightly from who we are when we are only 7 years old... My favorite character is and stays Tony with his Cockney background and his open and optimistic look at life. The series makes you wonder though how your own life evolved...
