Today Marijn and I flew to San Francisco to attend the O'Reilly Web 2.0 expo and conference. Because of the advantage of a direct flight we preferred to fly KLM this time. I am happy to say that the business class has much improved and our standard reaction to avoid KLM as much as possible and to fly BA or Lufthansa isn't valid any longer. Good food, OK chairs nice staff and very comfortable and quiet climate.We had some "dropjes" , got our KLM jenever house and had a incredible view of Iceland and San Francisco.
It took us 10 plus hours, but we landed fit in Frisco. The immigration procedure took hours and we were worried that the French lady in front of us had to trow up any moment. But she did not and after Customs things went very smoothly.
We are staying in the Rex Hotel just of Union Square and our first impression is perfect. Big room, nice small boutique hotel and a good location. (and free wireless Internet which for me is like oxygen) The weather is fine, the shops are open and our credit cards ready for what may come...
