One of my reasons to visit Lubeck was to visit the Buddenbrookshaus. Named after the family of his Nobel prize winning novel, this museum gives a good idea about the live of Thomas Mann and his family. One of my favorite (gay) writers is his son Klaus Mann with novels like "Der Vulkan". The extensive bookstore gave me a chance to update my library with nice editions of some of the Mann's novels (and DVD's of movie adaptations)
