M-Audio O2

The M-Audio O2 is a great travel companion. It has real size keys but is super slim. It even has assignable controls so you are in charge of the Reason rack devices. I am testing Apple's own Garageband right now and it is fun. :-)
The best thing about the O2 is of course that it is super tiny: it fits in every suitcase so I can take it with where ever I go.

Don't Jump!

Along the bridge railing you will find last minute telephones to talk people out of jumping of the bridge. I could just resist the temptation and so didn't need the call.

I was very much impressed by the (old) novel of Khaled Hosseini about the life a a boy in Kabul Afghanistan. It is a deep moving story beautifully written. It gives you more insight into the live of the Afghanis during the last decades. A perfect air plane book.

Semantic Web

Today Marijn and I flew to San Francisco to attend the O'Reilly Web 2.0 expo and conference. Because of the advantage of a direct flight we preferred to fly KLM this time. I am happy to say that the business class has much improved and our standard reaction to avoid KLM as much as possible and to fly BA or Lufthansa isn't valid any longer. Good food, OK chairs nice staff and very comfortable and quiet climate.
We had some "dropjes" , got our KLM jenever house and had a incredible view of Iceland and San Francisco.
It took us 10 plus hours, but we landed fit in Frisco. The immigration procedure took hours and we were worried that the French lady in front of us had to trow up any moment. But she did not and after Customs things went very smoothly.
We are staying in the Rex Hotel just of Union Square and our first impression is perfect. Big room, nice small boutique hotel and a good location. (and free wireless Internet which for me is like oxygen) The weather is fine, the shops are open and our credit cards ready for what may come...

Summer has arrived

It was fun today to open up the window doors and invite the warm summer breeze into the house. The Prinsengracht is full of people and as usual tourists in he canal boats like to waive and to be waived back at.

Niek and Noor in Le Garage

We had dinner with Niek and Noor in Le Garage. We had a great time: the food was very good, the atmosphere nice (I saw some people I knew a long time ago when I came in Le garage almost twice a day) and the company perfect. Something to remember.

Finally got time to see season one of Noah's Arc. A gay black sex in the city. The script is fun, the acting is so so but the guys are hot :-) Here's Wade for instance...
