New: Nike plus heart rate

I did some testing with my new heart rate monitor from Polar for the Nike Plus system. I ran interval for 30 minutes and I saw my heart rate vary between 140 - 170. This graph however shows my heartbeat only going up and up. The average could be OK. This needs some further study and we will see whether I can lower my heart rate over time.

Proposition 8 is no longer!

Declaring that "same-sex love and intimacy are well-documented in human history," a judge has overturned California's ban on homosexual marriage as unconstitutional – in a sweeping victory for gay and lesbian civil rights. Will everything turn out good after all in Arnolds' California?

Thanks to Lars and Jens Rasmussen

When I said goodbye to Google Buzz back in February, I wonder when Wave would be axed: well today... Google wave is dead - was it ever alive? To pity for the Rasmussen brothers Lars and Jens who worked so hard on this project. Maybe it was too futuristic? Anyway it never took off and so I always was waving at myself..
Question is after this next disaster for Google: Is Google going down? It is far to depended on just one trick: search. Next to that it is to utilitarian. The look and feel of all their products is no fun. With Google you even don't have friends because Google calls them contacts...

Hmmm...

Taking old World War II photos, Russian photographer Sergey Larenkov carefully photoshopped them over more recent shots to make the past come alive.

Bomans revisited part II

Godfried Bomans was one of Hollands' most loved writers after the second world war. He was the first to appear on television - with much acclaim. He was born in Haarlem and for more then 40 years was friends with Harry Prenen (here right above on the painting) who was an artist but first of all: my History teacher!
The Frans Hals Museum had a nice small exhibition about Bomans and his scene and showed how versatile he really was: writer / performer / presenter / composer / poet / comic and he even created a English language course.
