Model S (with the S of safety)

The Tesla Model S scored the equivalent of 5.4 out of 5 in the NHTSA crash tests - so that's maybe a better car to consider then the Renault Zoe. Wait a minute: 5.4 out of 5 how's that possible?!

The Day a drove a Zoe

Vincent Evers is testing a lot of Eletric Cars - just for fun. He started with a Segway (not really a car), then had a Nissan Leaf and now ordered a Tesla Model S. In between he is driving other models and today I had the pleasure to borrow the car from him for a moment for a test drive. It drives a bit like a bumpercar - smooth and very quickly to respond. Unfortunately the rest of the car is a bit cheap Renault - as if the designers just took the most baisc version of a Modus they could find a slapped it into the Zoe. It's rather expensive as well ca. €25.000 plus a monthly rent for the battery. The range is a poorly 100 km. So who would like to buy this car? No clue.

Skinny Dipping in New York

Brandon Venable, 20, of the Bronx, said he had not intended to swim at all, let alone naked. But after three Bacardi and Tropicanas on the beach, he said, “the mood was right.”
After the Shirtless trend in NYC - comes now a even more daring thrill: Skinny Dipping in The Hudson river. Naked swimmers act quickly under cover of darkness or in permissive pockets of the city: at the gay-friendly patch of Riis beach in the Rockaways or at a marina on City Island. A small number of tickets are given out each year, and a few nude swimmers do end up being arrested - but the police isn't taking the whole thing very serious - guess they have other priorities...

An other Sunday - an other track :-)
