Doctor Atomic
Today the opera "Doctor Atomic"from John Adams went into its European Premiere at the Amsterdam Opera House. It was a big succes. The story, setting, music(!) and performance were all perfect. My guess is that this will turn out to be a classic. Especially the aria from Oppenheimer at the very end of act 1 is brilliant and of extraordinairy quality.
