Well: this is it: the very last volume of "Tales of the City" by Armistead Maupin (whom I happened to meet a couple of years ago in SF). I just downloaded "The days of Anna Madrigal" - but didn't start reading yet - I want to enjoy this book as long as I can, just like the ice topping on a cake.
